Harvest Parade Service

Our Harvest Parade Service this year will be on Sunday 13th October and led by Viv Newitt. Donations of dried/tinned food would be most welcome, which we will pass forward to the Whitechapel Mission or the local Foodbank.

Meet the Neighbours

This event, a new initiative by the Church and implemented by our Leadership Team, was attended by around 60 people, including 35 ‘Neighbours’ (10 were young children) and the two invited Councillors (Peter Webb and John Beckett). Our Church was supported and represented by Emma and many Church Members who came along to help; by assisting with serving and washing-up and also by socialising with our guests, answering their questions and generally promoting the Church and its activities. Ghanaian Methodist Fellowship – UK Choir at Ruxley Church

Come and hear the … Ghanaian Methodist Fellowship – UK Choir at Ruxley Church on Saturday 19th January at 7:30pm. This wonderful choir is coming to Ruxley Church – it should be a great evening with a variety of songs and hymns, all with a gospel sound. The choir has performed at Easter People, Westminster Central Hall regularly and for the memorial thanksgiving service of Rob Frost, and celebrations for Ghana’s 50th Anniversary of Independence in the presence of the president of Ghana. Founded in 1938, Stoneleigh Methodist Church has always considered itself to be at the heart of the local community. The site for the Church was chosen as the highest point locally, and we were known for some time as ‘The Church on the Hill’. Since the very beginning our focus has been on the use of the Church Centre as a community resource with Youth groups, Fellowship groups, badminton and table tennis, as well as regular Sunday Services and other ecumenical activities; children’s birthday parties at weekends are especially popular these days. Jumble Sale 2017

Our Jumble Sale this year will be on Saturday 4th February 2017 from noon ’til 2:00pm, our annual sale for the benefit of Stoneleigh Methodist Church and the 3rd Stoneleigh Scout Group. Entry 50p (dealers at 10:00am, £5.00). Refreshments will be available. Parking on Church forecourt and on the road outside – please show consideration when parking to our residential neighbours. Collection of jumble for the surrounding streets will be in the preceding week – leaflets will be delivered to the relevant homes.

This is an open invitation to anyone who has lost a loved one in recent years and who would welcome the chance to join others in a service of quiet thanks-giving.
