New Bookings – the current situation

Published July 17, 2020

At the moment (mid July 2020) we are not in a position to reopen the Church Centre. When we have implemented guidance from the Government and the Methodist Church, and have fully reached a Covid Secure status, we will then be able to move forward. In order, our priorities will be to reopen the Church for worship, and then to welcome back our existing users. Only after that has been achieved will we be able to offer definite dates to new enquiries, with confidence that we will be able to accommodate our new users safely.

SMC website now SSL certified

Published January 26, 2020

We now have our very own SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificated website. This means that our website is certificated as secure, as confirmed by the little padlock to the left of the website name in the address bar at the top of your browser. Google recognise this security by ranking our website higher in their search results too, so they are happy! Nothing different […]

Meet the Neighbours

Published February 17, 2019

This event, a new initiative by the Church and implemented by our Leadership Team, was attended by around 60 people, including 35 ‘Neighbours’ (10 were young children) and the two invited Councillors (Peter Webb and John Beckett). Our Church was supported and represented by Emma and many Church Members who came along to help; by assisting with serving and washing-up and also by socialising with our guests, answering their questions and generally promoting the Church and its activities. Most importantly, to ensure that all present enjoyed themselves. Many who attended received guided tours of the Church and the wider Church […]
