Stoneleigh Methodist Church is holding a memorial service on Sunday 19th  June 2016 at 10:30am. This is an open invitation to anyone who has lost a loved one in recent years and who would welcome the chance to join others in a service of quiet thanks-giving. The loss of a close member of the family or a friend can leave one with a sense of loss that is never filled; over time it is possible to begin to cope with that loss, but one may never feel that the loss is overcome. Women’s World Day of Prayer 2016

John Bell of the Iona Community is a hymn writer, Church of Scotland minister, broadcaster, and travels the world teaching on worship, spirituality and social justice. The weekend of 13/14th February 2016 will be devoted to Celebrating the Church’s Song, and will be comprised of singing workshops and worship led by John Bell at Ruxley and Stoneleigh Methodist Churches. Periodic Electrical Testing – Half term closure

You probably know (from the little green labels on plugs) that all our portable electrical equipment is tested each year. Our Insurers also expect us to test the fixed wiring (lights, sockets etc) about every five years, looking for any problems that old age may have created. At our last Quinquennial inspection we were reminded that our last test was in 2004, since when there have been a number of changes made to our wiring.
